Hi Elizabeth:

I am sorry to hear about your sister's diagnosis but also glad that she got another cancer free check up. Hopefully she will stay that way.

It is hard to believe twelve years have passed since Vickey left us. It still feels like just yesterday to me, particularly at this time of year.

Thanks for the response and be well!

Thanks Kathy
Can you believe it's been 12 years? Your post is a wonderful tribute to our Vickey; reminders of her ever-present humor and comic tragedy. The "right stuff" that made Vickey so dear to us all. I too could never wrap my mind around the idea that Vickey could leave us. Oh gads, and all those parking tickets!!!

Ovarian cancer, hideous disease that it is, came by to visit once more. My sister, via surgery, was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer 0n my 50th birthday. Ironically, her name is also Vickey. I cannot tell you the terror I felt upon hearing those words once again. Stage 3 and not in the lymphatic system - my sister came through. She just received another cancer-less check up. Every three months we hold our breath.

I'm glad you found our tribute via Face Book. Hi Brad

btw: great blog

Dearest Kathy,
Thank you for this remembrance. Though it wrenches my heart to think of how much we all lost when Vickey left us, your words briefly made Vickey present to me.

Much love to you always,
Sheila
